  1. The children’s interests and abilities shape their educational programme<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  2. Children are active<\/strong>, and their needs and interests are addressed in an individualised way.<\/li>\n
  3. We have mixed-age work groups<\/strong>, creating a rich, cooperative, fraternal environment.<\/li>\n
  4. We do not use worksheets<\/strong>. We use Montessori materials instead. These materials allow students to go from concrete to abstract concepts and promote self-correction.<\/li>\n
  5. Children work at their own pace and achieve their goals personally and uniquely.<\/li>\n
  6. We do not give them homework<\/strong>, since we respect the children\u2019s play and family time.<\/li>\n
  7. The atmosphere<\/strong> in our classrooms encourages a taste for order, self-discipline, and harmony.<\/li>\n
  8. Teachers and guides intervene indirectly<\/strong>, offering guidelines and showing processes. They observe without intervening and avoid hindering spontaneous acts in the children\u2019s learning process.<\/li>\n
  9. We do not give exams<\/strong>, since these only foster stressful situations for children and do not show reliable results in their learning process.<\/li>\n
  10. We educate in freedom<\/strong> and responsibility and, as a consequence, in independence.<\/li>\n
  11. There are no external punishments or prizes<\/strong>, the true rewards are the satisfaction for the children\u2019s achievements and empowerment.<\/li>\n
  12. Arts, sensory education, life skills, and crafts are included in our activities.<\/li>\n
  13. We focus on learning and self-education, the cognitive process being practical and active.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
