We believe that the first three years of life are of paramount importance for the formation of the self-image in all regards: physically, mentally, and emotionally. This is the period of the most intense comprehensive development in our lives, since we are constantly absorbing information from the environment surrounding us. This is why enriching spaces are so important.
Our bilingual environment provides the best possible start in these early years.
At this stage, we lay the foundations of autonomy, self-esteem, initiative, body awareness, deductive thinking, language, empathy, cooperation, and socialisation.
Children work in a specially-designed environment, where they can move freely and explore their bodies, since crawling and walking are encouraged. Movement, from the most general to the most specific parts, is very important. Hands are used as instruments of intelligence, allowing children to touch and explore materials that we approve to be within their reach. We also work with the senses: through sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste, children will absorb the information about the world and understand it. Besides, all of this is expressed through body language, with their smiles, their satisfaction, their constant repetitions… Starting from here, they will go on to use symbols and words, sentences and language.
Personal care habits also boost autonomy and self-confidence. Daily routines promote confidence towards the world and their environment. That is why we give great importance to role models and stable, predictable routines, since external order reflects internal order and provides security.
